Definitely came out well. I hope the recipient in the trade enjoyed it. If you don't mind some thoughts on the shading on the ground, most of the time unless there's really intense lighting the shadow doesn't retain shape quite that much. It's usually easiest in my experience to pin the shadow to the nearest points of the figure and then leave a minimally rounded connection between them. Though that's me making a guess about desired lighting so take it with a grain of salt. I really like the figure and the expression, they lend a really relaxing air to the pic.

CaptainDrog responds:

thanks for the pointers. i see what you going for and completely agree. the shading on the ground was a last minute thing i tossed on as i completed it. heck i forgot to shade the bush i was trying to push it out so fast. the character got all my attention and i let everything else suffer for it.

I feel foolish that I didn't think of those two together until just now! That is a masterful combo, my hat's off to you.

one day in the randomness of smash ultimate, there was a fight of pikachu libre and incineroar, then I told me, the two themes of the same subject, that was crazy

Cute! I am loving all the adorable birb art from this meme!

I really wish I had a proper name for this aesthetic. Bright and colorful while creepy and gruesome, it's not quite the bright technicolor I associate with candy-gore or else I'd call it that. I mainly wish I had a name so I could have a shorthand way to say I really like that style.

newdsgrounds responds:

Thanks. I'm not sure if I know a specific word for this style, I suppose candy gore is still the closest. Maybe if I draw more of it, it'll become a thing.

Ahh, countdown deaths, will you ever not seem epic? I hope not.

Well that's one glowing fawn! Also an adorable sweater and I love the choice of eye design.

Very underrated, to the point where it feels like the low reaction to that line might have cost us similar gags down the line. Still funny and that's a good Homer, nice and familiar while still holding your own distinct style.

87octane responds:

we did still get 'i said 'SAMPSON' not 'SIMPSON'' and thats p good too.
thanks fam!

Ok then, I will not worry about the blood, I will instead run away screaming for wholly unrelated reasons.

Really though that's a nice profile piece and the extreme color contrast on the blood as well as the stylized shapes makes for a very interesting feel to the whole piece.

Neat! Really love the fire effects and the background work! Small note that the left foot seems a little off (I mean feet in general are a pain in the neck but it's just an odd note I had) it looks like it's flat in the lighting and shape, usually I see people address that by adding a sort of 'squished' look on the portions of the foot in contact with the ground. Really though it's amazing!

That is some really good work on the glittering for the grey-scale dress.

CaseterMK responds:

Thanks! That was actually really fun to do so glad it worked out!

This should be another location both for II comics and for my art in general.
